This week we welcome headline act: The Appointments

A dynamic fusion of Indie, Psychedelic Rock, and World Beat, from Newcastle, NSW, The Appointments invite you into their sonic world on their debut EP, Microcosm: Side A. Pulsating rhythms and syncopated percussion drive a nostalgic and rich sound with the raw energy of mid-2000s garage rock & brotherly harmonies. The Appointments are equal parts The Wailers, My Morning Jacket, the Police and Sublime.

The Love brothers, Rhys (Vocals, Guitar) and Eli (Drums, Vocals) formed the band in 2018, to find a more authentic and rhythmically inspiring voice than their previous projects. Since the band’s inception, Duncan Brown (Percussion, Keys), Kurt Speirs (Bass) and Aidan Liddle (Guitar) have joined the collective, adding influence to the band’s jam sessions that are carved into tracks. Instinctively independent, the bands tracks are self recorded and produced by their frontman, and propelled by a live band at home playing festival stages, supporting Australian artists across the genre spectrum, and headline their own tours along the east coast.

The band’s international rhythms have shared the stage with Boo Seeka, Rum Jungle, Kate Miller Heidki, Pira Puru, Crocodylus, The Delta Riggs, Murray Cook (The Wiggles), Rum Jungle, Pacific Avenue, Sunsoli (fka: The Sea Gypsies), The Sheepdogs (Can), Benjalu, The Rions, & Jaguar Jonze, as well as Australian music legends, Tex Perkins, Russell Morris and Paul Dempsey.
